Earth Sermon

The earth is my church,

my sacred,

my sanctuary.

The leaves in harmony

with the breeze,

voices blending in song.

Creaking trees,

strong and present,

provide guidance and wisdom.

Enter here,

all are welcome.

I walk the paths,

I wander off and back again.

Returning,

always feet on the ground.

The seasons,

her teachings,

of death, life, and rebirth.

The cycle continues,

it needs nothing from me.

Asking only for a witness,

to listen, to listen.

Again and again,

she gives the same lessons.

The voice whispers softly,

do you hear her?

We are all needed,

it is all connected,

you are here,

we are one.

The wisdom comes in waves,

dominion is temporary,

change is a constant,

everything returns.

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust.

And yet- still.

The earth holds us,

with love,

with benevolence.

Knowing she will be here,

long after we are all gone.

The earth is my sanctuary,

my sacred,

my church.

I sit and I listen,

to her words and her songs.

In awe of her power,

strength,

and beauty.

We ask and it is given,

no request in return.
